UPDATES for the Old Homosassa Learning Center and the Homosassa Civic Club

Hurricane Irma knocked many trees down in our community.  Along with the trees came the power and cable lines.  Power was not restored to the Civic Club campus until Saturday night.

Therefore, we’ve had to make some adjustments to our schedule.

Sew Cool! Workshop with Faith Peix returns this Thursday, the 21st, in the OHLC building.

The After School Learning Program led by Ruth Toner-Hatfield will begin on September 25th and run from 3:30 – 5:30 at the OHLC.  No charge.  If you would like to volunteer for the after school program email homosassacivicclub@gmail.com or stop by during open hours.

Yoga with Tiffany will start back into it’s regular schedule on Tuesday, September 26th.  The OHLC main room has been refurbished and the yoga classes will be held there now.

The Girl Scouts will resume meeting in the Homosassa Civic Center on Thursdays.

Homosassa Arts, Crafts, and Seafood Festival volunteer meeting will be this Thursday at 4 pm in the office building.

The next Homosassa Civic Club meeting is October 2nd at 7 pm.  Pot Luck/Social Hour starts at 6 pm.

On October 5th at 6 pm there will be a Community Meeting in the OHLC.  Details coming soon.

After School Program delayed due to Hurricane Irma

Many of our volunteers have either evacuated or are getting their homes ready for Hurricane Hermine’s imminent arrival.

The Old Homosassa Learning Center Committee has decided to postpone the beginning of our new program until September 18.

In addition, yoga is canceled for Saturday morning.

We hope everyone fares well through the upcoming storm.
